We have developed a system for use with semi-automatic quick hitches.

It is a unique system that can be retro fitted to almost all hitches incorporating safety pins.

Please see how the system works for a video of the device in operation.

Safety Systems Warning Devices

Safety Systems Warning Devices is a company dedicated to the manufacture and supply of safety warning devices for semi-automatic quick hitches. We have improved the tried and tested, mechanically safe semi-automatic hitch. Our system is unique and addresses the one potential design fault; operator misuse.

One HSE inspector has gone on record as saying that semi-automatic hitches are mechanically safe. His one stated reservation being that the HSE "don't think the design of semi-automatic quick hitches took into account that people will omit to put the pin in".

Safety Systems Warning Devices

Safety Systems Warning Devices focus attention on the operator and changing his sometimes negligent behaviour in omitting to use the pin at all times. It is retro-fittable to almost all semi automatic hitches in use in the UK.

It is a cost effective alternative to replacing perfectly serviceable semi automatic hitches. It is not just a question of saving money. Our research and feedback from the construction industry indicates a widely held view that automatics are not without drawbacks.

A combination of the tried and tested reliability of the semi-automatic quick hitch, together with our innovative and unique system, offers the best of both worlds.
